The BCCI’s treasurer, Ajay Shirke, and honorary secretary, Sanjay
Jagdale, have resigned from their positions in the BCCI with immediate
effect.
Shirke replied to enquiries from about his resignation, stating “Yes, that’s true.” However, he refused to talk any further about the issue, stating that he had already made his reasons for resigning clear.
Meanwhile, Jagdale, who had been appointed as one of the three-member inquiry commission probing into the spot fixing allegations, stated that he was deeply hurt by the recent developments, further adding that “Right now, it’s better I get out.”
